We were on hand this week to acknowledge and celebrate the top student in each grade who has worked hard all year to overcome barriers and stay on track at Berea, Lakeview, Tanglewood Middle Schools and Greenville Early College.

The recipients of the 2018-2019 OnTrack Greenville Student Awards are:

Berea Middle School

  • Au'Siuna Wakefield, 6th grade
  • Jesse Palm, 7th grade
  • Gavin McClain, 8th grade

Lakeview Middle School

  • Hilary Torres, 6th grade
  • Dezyah Rose, 7th grade
  • Johnathan Hampton, 8th grade

Tanglewood Middle School

  • Kanye Fleming, 6th grade
  • Charlotte Crawford, 7th grade
  • Dontravious Bailey, 8th grade

Greenville Early College

  • Felipe Acevedo, 6th grade
  • Kiyonna Chase, 7th grade
  • Wilson Willard, 8th grade

The students were selected by teachers and administrators at each school who have shown improvement in their attendance, grades and behavior throughout the year. They were each recognized at their school awards day ceremonies with a commemorative plaque, and tickets to the United Way Night at the Greenville Drive held on June 5.

"Each of these students are shining examples of hard work and commitment to their education," said Tobi Kinsell, director of OnTrack Greenville, who helped to present several of the awards. "We wanted to take a moment and let these students know, 'we see you, we support you, we're here for you every step of the way to help you reach your goal of graduating from high school and achieve post-secondary success.'"

Congratulations to all of the OnTrack Greenville Student Award winners!
